Entries should be made two classes in advance. $1.00 fee will be charged for scratching a class.
1. Riders age will be determined by age on January 1.
2. Only a single Horse and rider combination may accumulate points for Championship & Reserve.
3. Stallions may not be shown in any class by anyone under 18.
4. Horse & pony height will be determined as they stand, with or without shoes. We will not add an inch to measurements taken without shoes.
General Rules
1. Anyone who mistreats or shows cruelty to animals will be asked to leave the show and forfeit all entry fees.
2. No alcohol or profanity will be allowed on the show grounds.
3. The Northern Neck Horse & Pony Club, members or property owners will not be held responsible for any injuries or damage to horse, rider or spectators.
4. The Northern Neck Horse & Pony Club will not be responsible nor are show officials, committee members or employees, for any articles of any kind that may be lost, stolen or destroyed, although every responsible precaution will be taken to protect the property of exhibitors.
Current negative coggins (within 12 months) required for all horses & ponies brought on the show grounds.

NNHPC RULES AND REGULATIONS
Class Regulations
1. Horses & ponies need to enter and exit the ring at a walk in all classes.
2. NNHPC reserves the right to cancel, or combine any class having less than 4 entries.
3. All riders entering any class must use western attire, tack and boots.
4. No re-runs are allowed in any class due to broken equipment.
5. Riders may be disqualified for not appearing in the ring 30 seconds after they are paged to ride.
6. Any person(s) harassing, discrediting, or using profanity towards the judge shall be disqualified. Likewise, persons accompanying riders and doing the same shall cause the rider to be disqualified.
7. No unauthorized person(s) will be permitted in the ring at any time during any class.
8. Riders may not have his or her hand in front of the saddle as punishment at any time in any class.
9. Any one who wishes to contest the eligibility of any horse, pony, or rider to enter a class must do so before the results of the class are announced.
10. The judge's decision will be final. Any question or concerns on the part of the contestant shall be discussed with the show chairman or show committee.
11. The judge shall have the authority to pin whatever position, in a class, he or she believes the horse justifies.
12. If the judge so wishes, he or she may ask a rider to leave the ring for bad conduct in any class.
13. Failure to follow the course or pattern in any class will disqualify the rider. Starting poles or cones are considered part of the course.
14. Riders in speed classes may use 2 hands on the reins or may have a hand on the saddle horn.
15. Riders in speed classes may touch the obstacles to keep them from falling over.
16. Knocking over an obstacle in Barrels, Texas Barrels, Stake Race or Poles will result in a 5 second penalty.
17. Riders breaking timer and re-crossing finish line, after running class will be disqualified.
18. Hack-a-mores & tie downs are not allowed in pleasure classes.
19. No sleeveless shirts, spaghetti strap blouses or tank tops to be worn in any events.
20. Ties for Champion in Pleasure will be a hack off. Ties for Champion in Speed classes will be broken with a coin flip.
